IDAHO Public Death Records

Along with the other types of records such as birth, marriage, and divorce, it is the Idaho Bureau of Vital Records and Health Statistics that keeps a file of all the death certificates that took place within the state. So if you're looking for a death record of someone who lived in that state when he died, then this office is the right place to go. If you're looking for records that may be closely related to other states, then you might want to go to that particular state's records bureau or the National Center for Health Statistics.

Death certificates remain confidential information until the certificate or record has already lasted for 50 years. Idaho statute will also require the applicant for a photocopy of a valid photo ID with a signature, along with proof of your relationship with the deceased.

Getting a death certificate in Idaho is the only way that you can effectively make use of the information there (i.e. any legal purpose).
